There’s blood on the walls,
Red splattered across the floor
You’ve got the knife in your hand
And you’re cutting,
You’re stabbing
You’re slashing
You’re mutilating,
Not hearing the screams of, “Im not dying!”
The blood on your face going to stain
Coming from the person that stole your name
I watch you
Tears in my eyes
Not from sadness,
But delighted surprise
I never thought you could do it,
Should have known you were strong enough…
One more moment and the bastard is dead
[You resist the erg to turn the knife on you instead]
You laugh uncontrollably,
Staring at what you’ve done
To prove me wrong.
You drop the knife and get to your feet
The person on the ground before you,
Writhing in defeat.
Its an obscure feeling,
One that you’ll never forget]
You look to me, eye wide
Now yourself inside
I take you in my arms,
As you beckon me over
And breath in you’re new warmth
Strange how your back bone feels so much stronger
You’re so over powered by happiness you begin to shiver
And you smile as my lips begin to quiver
I look into your eyes,
The real ones that once hid behind the lies
There’s a change in everything you now are
You kiss me and I taste a something new,
Your tongue doesn’t move in the timid way it used to
You hands feel different, you now know what you want
And Im willing to give everything you need to you
What you once were
Lies empty on the floor
There’s no more life in that shell
The straight jacket that held you back all you were
You’re free now
No longer afraid
You’ve got the world at your feet
And you’re not scared to leap
You whisper, Im back
And I begin to shake
Everything you now are
I longing to take
There’s blood on the walls,
Red splattered across the floor
You broke through the paint that smothered the real you
You ripped it open, broke through, peeled it off, almost too late
I think that this moment,
Was worth that wait.
